About our Black Bear Hunts
Hunts -We offer an active 7 day hunt with hunting starting on the evening of your arrival.
1 on 1 or 2 on 1 hunts available with the season running from mid April to mid June with specific dates available on request. Hunters will arrive at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and are picked up the following morning from their hotel.
About the hunt - Spot and Stalk hunting for bear is far more adventuresome than hunting over bait, bait hunting for bears is not legal in BC. The hunters spend time getting up high in the mountains and glassing open slopes, old roads, cut blocks, river bottoms and avalanche chutes. Once a desired boar is spotted the Guide and Hunter then decide on the best way to get within shooting range of the bear. This style of hunting is very conductive in BC's mountains with many bear sightings per day and provides a fulfilling hunting experience. We spend time specifically targeting old male bears. Weather conditions vary in temperature from overnight frost to day time highs of 75.
